Heiner syndrome is a food-induced pulmonary hypersensitivity disease that
predominantly affects infants. Chronic respiratory symptoms with pulmonary
infiltrates on radiography, positive milk precipitins and resolution of findings
upon removal of cow’s milk constitute the main features. Severe cases may
present with pulmonary hemosiderosis. Few renal manifestations associated
with this syndrome have been reported so far. Here we report the first case
of Heiner syndrome complicated by crescentic glomerulonephritis after 5
years of follow-up.
